Burbank Neighborhood Leadership Program
Now accepting applications for class of 2014
BURBANK, Calif. (October 9, 2013) – The City of Burbank’s Connect with your Community initiative, Leadership Burbank Alumni Association, and Burbank Unified School District invite Burbank residents to be part of this grassroots leadership program.
The five-month Burbank Neighborhood Leadership Program broadens resident’s understanding of the Burbank community, and teaches the who, what, when, where, why, and how of leadership. The program connects participants to the city by exposing them to city departments, nonprofits, and businesses. Leadership topics range from goal setting to conflict resolution. Participants commit to attending 10 Saturday sessions from 8 am-3 pm starting January 11th. The program culminates with a community project, which is planned and executed by the team.
This is a volunteer program, and there is no fee to participate.
The application deadline is 5:00 pm on Friday, October 25th.
