League of Women Voters Candidate Forum to be Broadcast Live

BURBANK, Calif. (January 27, 2017) – In preparation for the Primary Election on February 28, 2017, the League of Women Voters will host a Candidate Forum on Friday, January 27 from 7 to 9:30 p.m.

The live event will feature a public forum with City Council and School Board candidates in the Burbank City Council Chambers at City Hall.

The City Council candidates are (in ballot order):

Sharon Springer, Richard Carr, Jess Talamantes, Gregory Sousa, Robert Frutos, Juan Guillen, Konstantine Anthony, and David Gordon. The School Board candidates are (in ballot order): Steve Frintner, Charlene Tabet, and Larry Applebaum.

The Candidates Forum will be rebroadcast on The Burbank Channel (Charter Cable Channel 6, AT&T U-verse Channel 99) and will be available on demand on the City’s website (

In addition, each candidate has recorded an individual candidate statement which will be broadcast on The Burbank Channel, and will be available on demand on the City’s website. The candidate statements also include City Clerk Zizette Mullins and City Treasurer Debbie Kukta who are both running unopposed.
