Post Date:01/11/2018 8:27 AM

BURBANK, CA (January 11, 2018) – The City of Burbank has a new operator for the LA Kings Burbank Sports Center (also known as the Burbank Roller Hockey Facility), located at Ralph Foy Park, 3211 West Victory Boulevard in Burbank.  P.I.M. Inc. was selected through a competitive proposal process to expand programming at the facility and offer a variety of inline hockey and skating programs for participants of all ages and abilities. P.I.M. Inc. will take over operating the facility on February 1, 2018, after the agreement with the current operator expires.

P.I.M. Inc., who also operates the LA Kings Valley Ice Center in Panorama City, also maintains a Trademark Licensing Agreement with the Los Angeles Kings National Hockey Association team.  As part of this Agreement, P.I.M will add the LA Kings logo to center court of the facility.

P.I.M. Inc. will perform several improvements to the aging Burbank facility during the 5-year Agreement period.  As part of the capital investment program, they will replace the rink boards and fence, add Sport Court playing surface and new scoreboard.

Whether participants are new and looking to play hockey for the first time, or have been playing for years, the LA Kings Burbank Sports Center will offer many programs.  The LA Kings Burbank Sports Center will be expanding youth roller hockey from 3 to 4 seasons and will continue to provide 4 seasons of adult roller hockey leagues.  They will also expand programming and offer Family Skate Nights, birthday parties, weekday practices for youth, pick-up roller and ball hockey, and special events.  For new hockey players that need more instruction or want to try the sport for the first time, they may participate in the Learn to Skate Program and Stick Time for participants to practice skills before league games, P.I.M. Inc. will offer a scholarship program to subsidize participants that cannot otherwise afford to participate in programs
