Notice of Preparation of Environmental Impact Report

Under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), projects of this magnitude must be thoroughly evaluated, through a public process, to consider their potential environmental impacts on the community, as well as potential offsetting measures (“mitigations”). The City of Burbank has hired an Environmental Impact Report (EIR) consultant to conduct the study. To begin this public process, an EIR Scoping Meeting is being held where you can provide input, verbally or in writing, regarding which potential environmental impacts you believe should be studied through this process.

The EIR Scoping Meeting will be held on Thursday, February 13, 2014 at 5:30 p.m. The meeting will be held in the Community Room (Room 104) on the first floor of the Community Services Building at 150 N. Third Street in Burbank.

This is the first meeting being held by the City as part of the environmental review of these projects. It is anticipated that this environmental process and City Council review of the projects will be completed in the Spring of 2015. Additional public outreach meetings will be conducted by the City and the Authority throughout this period.

If you would like more information or you would like to provide comments on the scope of the EIR you may also call or email the project planner, Patrick Prescott, at 818-238-5250 or
