If you’re looking to make a difference in the Burbank community, become a member of the Burbank Volunteer Program (BVP)! BVP has over 750 active volunteers from ages 12 – 103 years old and serves a variety of nonprofit and public organizations including:
- Boys and Girls Club
- Burbank Temporary Aid Center
- City of Burbank Parks and Recreation Department
- Family Promise of the Verdugo Hills
- Providence St. Joseph’s Medical Center
- Many more!
Whether you are looking to complete high school service learning requirements, have a few spare hours a month or have recently retired and are looking to make an impact in the lives of others, BVP can assist in finding the perfect match for your availability and interests.
All volunteers are required to complete a BVP Enrollment Form. Volunteers may be required to be fingerprinted, depending on site placement. (*Fingerprinting paperwork will be provided at time of interview if necessary.)
Older Americans Volunteer Service Awards 2017
Help us identify outstanding Burbank resident volunteers (60+) who make significant contributions to non-profit organizations. Recipients will be honored in May during "Older Americans Month." Submissions must be received by noon on March 1st, 2017 to Victoria Cusumano at Joslyn Adult Center. For more information, call 818-238-5353.
