The adult sports program offers men and women an opportunity to participate in organized leagues in a recreational setting. Registration is accepted on a "team basis" only. Divisional classifications range from top-flight play to low-level recreational leagues in a variety of sports. The adult program offers play in basketball, softball, and volleyball.
The City of Burbank is a member of the Southern California Municipal Athletic Federation (SCMAF). The mission of SCMAF is to provide and promote sports training and competition in response to and conducted by its members. The City of Burbank provides opportunities to develop physical fitness and lifelong skills in a variety of team sports for persons of all ages and abilities. Our philosophy is to instill a positive attitude, good sportsmanship, sound fundamentals, confidence, and high moral standards. The City of Burbank and SCMAF seek to uphold the spirit of sportsmanship and participation.

Sports Officials Training
Adults interested in officiating softball, baseball, or basketball can earn up to $30 per game. Officials are required to attend classroom training, pass a written exam, and pass a practical exam. For information, please call the Sports Office at 818.238.5330.
