Metrolink-Media District Route to Better Align with Commuting Schedules

Post Date:10/25/2018 2:12 PM

BURBANK, CA (Oct. 25, 2018) – BurbankBus recently announced the Metrolink-Media District route (Metro-Media/Pink route) will have a revised afternoon/evening schedule to better meet Metrolink train times effective Monday, November 5, 2018.

After Metro-Media all-day service was announced last month, BurbankBus responded immediately to rider feedback by making slight adjustments to the schedule. Metrolink-Media District afternoon/evening service will now run every 12 minutes from 2:30PM to 6:45PM, Monday-Friday, with trip times shifted to better serve Metrolink connections.

The Metrolink-Media District route provides four NoHo/Media District route connections and three stops with connections to Metro Route 501. “The November Metro-Media route alignment provides riders easier access to local and regional commuting schedules,” said Adam Emmer, Transportation Services Manager for the City of Burbank.

The Metro-Media route runs between Interstate 5 and Highway 134 along Olive, Buena Vista, Alameda, and Pass. It has a transit hub at the Downtown Burbank Metrolink Station with access to Metro routes 92, 96, 154, 155, 164, 165; Santa Clarita Route 794, and MegaBus.

BurbankBus offers four local routes that provide easy access to employment hubs and convenient connections to local amenities and regional transportation services. BurbankBus is an affordable, eco-friendly ride. The bus fare is one dollar, and the entire fleet operates on clean-burning natural gas. In addition to local routes, BurbankBus offers direct, curb-to-curb transportation services to any destination within the city for Burbank's senior and disabled residents.
