MODIFIED OPERATIONS


The City of Burbank is committed to caring for the health and well-being of our employees, customers and community – and to reducing the threat of COVID-19.  

Effective Thursday, April 2, 2020, the City’s Community Development Department will transition to modified operations that establish online services. Public counter hours at the Community Services Building are closed until further notice.

All residents and customers will be required to utilize online services as the primary means for Building & Safety and Planning Division Services, including but not limited to permit application review filing/intake, payment of fees, consultation, permit issuance, clearance, and inspection services.

To the extent possible, the Community Development Department’s Building & Safety and Planning Divisions will continue to operate and provide services to ensure the continued processing of permit applications. Additional details on each Division’s operation can be found below:

Again, effective Thursday, April 2, 2020, the City’s Community Development Department will transition to the modified operations outlined above, that allow for online services. We recognize this is a challenging time for all, and we remain deeply committed to the health and well-being of our employees, customers and community.  We will continue to monitor developments, adjust where necessary, and do our part to reduce the spread of COVID-19.
