Burbank City Council Approves Urgency Ordinance Prohibiting Evictions for Non-Payment of Rent Caused by Coronavirus

The Burbank City Council approved an Urgency Ordinance on March 17, 2020 prohibiting the evictions of residential and commercial tenants for non-payment of rent caused by Coronavirus. The moratorium goes into effect immediately and will end on April 30, 2020; unless extended by the City Council.  Tenants are still required to pay their rent, and will have up to six months following the expiration of the local emergency declared by Burbank should non-payment occur during the moratorium period that ends on April 30th.  For details and more information, please read the Ordinance – link here:  https://burbank.granicus.com/MetaViewer.phpview_id=42&clip_id=8995&meta_id=366200

SECTION 8 PROGRAM – UPDATED ADMINISTRATIVE PLAN MARCH 2019

On March 26, 2019, the Burbank Housing Authority Board approved updates to the Administrative Plan that the housing authority office utilizes to implement the federal Section 8 Program.  

For detailed information, please review the newly adopted Administrative Plan.
