We provide guidance to the community and to the City Council on how best to develop the City’s transportation system. We implement the City’s adopted plans while carrying out our responsibilities to monitor and advise on the expenditure of the funding resources needed for transportation programs and projects. We consider the mobility needs of all, including transit users, pedestrians, bicyclists, motorists, and those with mobility, visual, and hearing challenges when recommending how best to achieve a balanced transportation network, and partner effectively with staff to achieve sound recommendations to the City Council.
