18-19 PROPOSED STREETS FOR THE ROAD REPAIR & ACCOUNTABILITY ACT (SB 1)

19-20 PROPOSED STREETS FOR THE ROAD REPAIR & ACCOUNTABILITY ACT (SB 1)

VERDUGO AVENUE AND CHANDLER BOULEVARD IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
In March 2019, the Public Works Department began a street improvement project on the following two streets:

  • Verdugo Avenue form Clybourn Avenue to Keystone Street
  • North Chandler Boulevard from Clybourn Avenue to Hollywood Way

The work will repair sidewalks, curbs, gutters, driveways, and pedestrian ramps. Old asphalt pavement will be removed and the streets will be repaved with new rubberized asphalt.

Vehicular traffic will remain open on both streets during construction but lane closures and detours will be in effect during certain phases of the operation.  The contractor will post “NO PARKING” signs 48 hours in advance of commencing work in areas where parking restrictions will be necessary.  Drivers should expect delays at street entrances and driveways and are advised to take alternate routes during construction.

For more information regarding this project, please contact the Public Works project manager, Adam Salehi, at 818-238-3915.
