Burbank Councilmember Appointed to the League of California Cities Environmental Quality Policy Committee

Burbank, CA (December 23, 2021) – The League of California Cities has selected Burbank Councilmember Nick Schultz to receive a presidential appointment for a one-year term on the Environmental Quality Policy Committee. 

The role of the Environmental Quality Policy Committee is to review issues related to air, water and water quality, California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), solid waste and recycling, hazardous materials, coastal issues, utilities, and wildfires.

“I am honored to be appointed to the League of California Cities Environmental Quality Policy Committee,” said Councilmember Schultz.  “The League of California Cities is an outstanding association, and I am excited to represent Burbank’s best interests and needs as part of the Committee.”  Councilmember Schultz added, “I have worked on investigations as a Deputy Attorney General into two of Southern California’s largest wildfires in history, and I look forward to bringing my experience and passion for environmental preservation to the position.”

The League of California Cities is an association of California city officials who work together to enhance their knowledge and skills, exchange information, and combine resources so that they may influence policy decisions that affect cities.
