Stough Canyon and Wildwood Canyon Hiking Trail Closures August 1-2, 2026

Please be advised that Amherst Drive will be closed to through traffic between San Fernando Blvd and Third St from approximately 2:00-9:00PM on Tuesday, August 4, 2026 for the National Night Out event.

As temperatures continue to rise through this weekend, the City of Burbank encourages residents to take the following precautions during periods of high heat.

An investigation is underway after a traffic collision involving an electric motorcycle resulted in one fatality.

A 23-year-old man has been arrested after secretly recording female patrons at a local business.

As of July 28, 2026, the Stough Canyon and Wildwood Canyon hiking trails are now open for public use. Please exercise caution when visiting the trails.

Burbank Public Library is partnering with the Burbank Eco Council to host “Lost & Found Rehomed,” a free community clothing redistribution event designed to help local families prepare for the upcoming school year while promoting sustainability and reducing waste.
