City Partners with the Los Angeles Community Garden Council to Develop Community Gardens in Burbank

Burbank, CA (March 31, 2022) – The City of Burbank and the Los Angeles Community Garden Council (LACGC) are partnering in the development of two new Burbank Community Gardens. The community gardens will be located at 1141 North Pass Avenue and 3705 West Clark Avenue.

The partnership with the LACGC will establish appropriate guidelines and volunteer roles to successfully launch and operate the community gardens. The LACGC, a 501(c)3 non-profit, has extensive experience in developing community gardens throughout Los Angeles County. LACGC is now ready to use their experience towards helping Burbank develop, grow, and maintain healthy and vibrant community gardens.

LACGC is now taking application for the 1141 North Pass Avenue. Plots are assigned on a point system that includes residency, volunteer commitments, and financial need. Burbank residents are given priority for plot assignments.

Applications are due by April 15. Plot recipients will be notified starting May 1, 2022.
