Stay protected from unexpected emergency medical costs - for one low fee.

The EMS Membership Program helps Burbank residents avoid out-of-pocket costs for emergency medical care and ambulance transportation. If you call 9-1-1 and need paramedics or a ride to the hospital, this program covers any remaining balance your insurance doesn't pay.

EMS Membership Program

Why Join the EMS Membership Program?

As a member, you'll get:

  • Emergency medical care and ambulance transportation from the Burbank Fire Department
  • Transport to the nearest local hospital - as often as needed
  • 24/7 coverage for emergencies within Burbank
  • Coverage for all permanent household members listed in your enrollment form

How It Works

  1. Sign up for the program.
  2. Call 9-1-1 in an emergency.
You'll receive care like any other patient.
  3. We'll bill your insurance after services are provided.
  4. We'll cover the rest.
If insurance doesn't pay the full amount, you won't pay anything out of pocket.
  5. No insurance? Your membership fee counts as full payment.

This program isn't an insurance plan - it's a way to reduce or eliminate your emergency medical costs.

Cost & Payment Options

  • Monthly: $7.00 added to your Burbank Water & Power Bill.
  • Annual: $84.00 for 12 months (paid by check)
