May is National Bicycle Safety Month, and the Burbank Police Department encourages everyone to get active and safely ride their bicycles while reminding drivers to be on the lookout for bicyclists and pedestrians.

The voters of California, during a special election in 1979, approved Article XIII-B of the California State Constitution. Informally known as the “Gann Initiative,” Article XIII-B provides limits regarding the total amount of appropriations in any fiscal year from “the proceeds of taxes.”

An investigation is underway after a traffic collision resulted in one fatality. 

Sections of the sidewalk in Downtown Burbank along San Fernando Boulevard and Magnolia Boulevard will undergo approximately three weeks of construction May 13 - 31 (excluding the Memorial Day holiday) for the installation of underground conduits and fiber optic cables.
