The Burbank Fire Department (BFD) is a dedicated emergency medical services (EMS) provider to our community. Each day, two Paramedics staff a rescue ambulance at Stations 11, 13, 14, and 15.
Fire engines and trucks are positioned across the city so help can arrive fast. These crews start assessing and stabilizing patients, often before the ambulance gets there. Many crews also include a Paramedic.
To keep care top-notch, BFD’s Medical Director and Nurse Educator lead quality improvement and ongoing training for Paramedics and Emergency Medical Technicians.
