The Burbank Volunteer Program (BVP) is a City of Burbank program that matches local volunteers with nonprofits and public organizations.
Whether you are looking to complete high school service learning requirements, have a few spare hours a month, or have recently retired and are looking to make an impact, BVP can assist in finding the perfect match for your availability and interests.

Applications can also be filled out and returned in person to the BVP Office, located inside the Joslyn Adult Center on: 1301 W. Olive Avenue, Burbank, CA 91506
Intake Call
After submitting a complete BVP Application, staff will contact you to schedule a phone call further discussing volunteers interests.

Pass a Background Check
All volunteers ages 18+ must complete fingerprinting (Live Scan*) and background check (National Center for Safety Initiative).
*LiveScan fingerprint has a $10 service fee.
American Cancer Society Discovery Shop: Cashier, sorting & pricing donated items.
Boys & Girls Club: Supervise members, assist with homework, provide snacks.
Burbank Temporary Aid Center: Pantry, warehouse, and front desk positions.
Burbank Library: Digital Literacy, Adult Literacy, Used Bookstore, and more!
Joslyn Adult Center: Front desk & activities assistant
City of Burbank Nutrition: Home Delivered Meals, Joslyn & Tuttle Food Distribution
Education Thru Music LA: Office Assistant, musical accompanist and more!
DIG: Parks beautification. Pulling weeds, picking up trash etc. All ages welcome.
Phone Pals: Help provide companionship for lonely seniors thru phone call or texts.
Project H.O.PE: Run errands for homebound seniors, picking up groceries/prescriptions.
Mail Room Volunteers: Assist with filling envelopes & other tasks for the City Mail Room.
S.W.A.T: Someone With Available Time is perfect for volunteers with busy schedules.
