Kevin Gray, Chief Information Officer

Kevin Gray Bio

Kevin Gray has served as the City’s Chief Information Officer (CIO) since 2018. He is responsible for driving the City’s digital transformation and technology strategies, as well as managing the overall operations of the IT Department.

Mr. Gray is committed to enhancing team, technical, and business agility, as well as creating better business processes and technology solutions that align with the evolving needs of the City. His initiatives include implementing Smart City concepts, Lean Agile product delivery methodologies, and Kaizen and Design Thinking principles.

Before joining the City of Burbank, Mr. Gray served as the VP of Global Media and Infrastructure Technology at Viacom where he managed worldwide teams in IT architecture, engineering, operations, and technical support.

Prior to that, Mr. Gray served as the VP of IT Infrastructure and Operations at Paramount Pictures where he led the architecture planning, design, implementation, and operations of computing and telecommunications.

Mr. Gray serves on several boards including the Society for Information Management, Innovate@UCLA, University of California Riverside Extension Executive Design Thinking Program, CIO Summit – California, and the Burbank Community YMCA.

Mr. Gray holds a BS degree in Information Systems from California State University, Long Beach.

He is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), SAFe 5 Government Practitioner, SAFe 5 Program Consultant, Scrum Master and Six Sigma Green Belt.
