Library: The Relationship Between Food and Mood
Have you ever felt hangry (hungry + angry)? Food and mood have an effect on one another. Without a steady source of fuel from the foods we eat, our minds and bodies don’t function well.
Shaunte Bab Ani, will provide a look at what we eat, in what order, at what time of day, and the amazing relationship between that and mood, weight, and mental health. Understand how they interact so you can make good diet choices and avoid emotional or impulse eating. This program is part of our Mental Health in Uncertain Times event series.
Shaunte Bab Ani is a a clinical research analyst who focuses on functional neuroimaging, examining the relationships between food, hormones, weight, and health.
Functional neuroimaging is the use of neuroimaging technology to measure an aspect of brain function, often with a view to understanding the relationship between activity in certain brain areas and specific mental functions.
