Library: An Afternoon with Adolfo Guzman-Lopez
Join us for an intimate reading with LAist correspondent and poet Adolfo Guzman-Lopez as we celebrate his debut collection of poetry and prose, California Southern: Writing from the Road, 1992–2025.
From Tijuana's borderlands to National City's blue-collar neighborhoods to Pacific Beach's shores, Guzman-Lopez transforms his undocumented childhood and 25 years covering Los Angeles for NPR into poetry that captures the rhythms, contradictions, and dreams of Southern California.
He will be joined by acclaimed writer Arminé Iknadossian for a special conversation.
