Burbank Named Finalist for 2026 Most Business-Friendly Large City Award

Burbank, CA (October 7, 2026) – The City of Burbank is pleased to announce that it has been selected as a finalist for the Los Angeles County Economic Development Corporation’s (LAEDC) 2026 Most Business-Friendly City Award in the Large City category, part of the 31st Annual EDDY Awards.

Following a review by an independent Blue-Ribbon Committee, seven cities in the Large City category and seven cities in the Small City category were selected as finalists from this year’s applicant pool. The recognition highlights cities throughout Los Angeles County that are implementing strategies, partnerships, and approaches to support businesses and strengthen their local economies.

Burbank is being recognized for its efforts to support businesses through its Business Concierge program, targeted business recruitment, and creative-industry engagement, helping strengthen the local economy and reinforce Burbank’s position as a place where businesses can grow and thrive.

“Being named a finalist for the second year in a row is a tremendous recognition of Burbank’s continued commitment to our business community,” said Burbank Mayor Tamala Takahashi. “From small businesses and entrepreneurs to major employers, we are proud to support the people and companies that help make Burbank such a strong and vibrant place to do business.”

The 31st Annual EDDY Awards will be held Wednesday, November 4, 2026, at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, where the winners of the 2026 Most Business-Friendly City Awards will be announced.
