Burbank PD News Release: Two Arrested after Stabbing near High School

On November 7, 2025, at about 2:45 p.m., Burbank Police officers responded to the area of Burbank High School after receiving reports of an altercation involving several students, during which someone was reportedly stabbed.

Upon arrival, officers located a crime scene in the parking lot of a retail establishment in the 200 block of East Burbank Boulevard, near the school. The suspects and victims had fled the area before police arrived.

A short time later, two male victims, both 16 years old, were located at Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center. Each had sustained multiple stab wounds and were listed in stable condition.

A vehicle believed to be involved in the incident was located at an apartment complex in the 300 block of South Third Street. Two individuals were detained at that location and later identified by witnesses as suspects in the stabbing.

The suspects have been identified as a 16-year-old male and a 17-year-old male, both residents of Burbank. They were booked for 664/187 PC – Attempted Murder, with formal charges pending review by the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.

The motive for the altercation remains under investigation, as does the source of the dispute. This incident did not occur on school grounds, and there is no ongoing threat to students or the community.
