Burbank Police Department News Release: Suspects Arrested Following Residential Burglary

Burbank, CA (August 17, 2023) – Two suspects have been arrested following a residential burglary of an occupied residence in the 2600 block of North Parish Place.

On August 17, 2023, at about 10:25 am, Burbank Police (BPD) responded to a residence in the 2600 block of North Parish Place. An individual inside the residence called the police and reported they observed four suspects break the rear sliding glass door and enter the home. The occupants locked themselves in the bathroom to call 911 and could still hear the suspects inside the home.

Another resident arrived home shortly after, and the suspects fled into the surrounding residential neighborhood. Neither of the home’s occupants were harmed.

One of the victims provided officers with a description of the suspects, their last known location, and surveillance video of the incident.

A perimeter was established around the 2600 block of North Parish Place. With the assistance of the Glendale Police Department K9 Unit and the Pasadena Police Department Helicopter, officers conducted a search of the properties within the perimeter and found two suspects hiding in the rear yard of an adjacent property. One suspect refused to comply with officers’ commands and was ultimately bitten by a police K9 during the apprehension. The second suspect was taken into custody without incident.

The arrested suspects have been identified as 31-year-old Juan Nunez Ramirez, a resident of Los Angeles, CA, and 32-year-old Felipe Leiva Solis, a resident of Palmdale, CA. Both were booked for robbery and burglary, both felonies, and are due to appear in court on August 19, 2023. They are being held in lieu of a $150,000 bond. Formal charges are pending review by the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.

Investigators believe there are three additional suspects who were involved in this crime and are outstanding.

The Burbank Police Department wishes to thank our partners from the Glendale Police Department and Pasadena Police Department for their assistance in making this arrest.
