Burbank Police Department News Release: Suspects Arrested for Grand Theft, Fraud, and Elder Abuse

Burbank, CA (August 30, 2023) – Two suspects have been arrested for Grand Theft, Fraudulent Use of Credit Cards, and Elder Abuse.

Earlier this month, Burbank PD released a flyer asking for help from the community in identifying two suspects in a series of thefts.  In these incidents, the suspects targeted elderly retail shoppers and would steal their wallets in distraction style thefts.  On August 29, 2023, after diligent work by detectives and amazing assistance from the community, we are pleased to report the two suspects were identified, located, and arrested.

The arrested suspects have been identified as 48-year-old Oscar Perdomo Flores, a resident of Los Angeles, CA, and 56-year-old Maria Perdomo, a resident of Los Angeles, CA. Both were booked for Grand Theft, Fraudulent Use of Credit Cards, and Elder Abuse, all felonies, and are due to appear in court on August 31, 2023. They are being held in lieu of a $275,000 bond.  Formal charges are pending review by the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.

The Burbank Police Department wishes to thank our community partners for their assistance in making this arrest.
