Caltrans Traffic Advisory Notice

Burbank, CA (January 10, 2020) - Caltrans has issued the following traffic advisories for Burbank:  

#1 – Victory Place and Old Empire Avenue:

On Sunday, January 12, 2020, between 7 a.m. and 9 p.m., lane closures and/or intermittent full street closure will take place on North Victory Place at Old Empire Avenue, and on Old Empire Avenue west of Victory Place, where crews will be paving. The paving will be done on Victory Place both north and south of Old Empire Avenue, and will extend south on Victory Place to the first driveway (northernmost entrance) into Burbank Empire Center.  Crews will attempt to avoid a full closure of Victory Place if possible, to allow at least one lane of traffic to move on Victory Place at all times -- if possible.

On Monday, January 13, 2020, crews will continue their paving farther north on Victory Place, stopping south of Lincoln Street.

#2 –  North Bonnywood Place and Northbound I-5 Off-Ramp and On-Ramp at Olive Avenue, also Angeleno Avenue and Orange Grove Avenue:

On Tuesday, January 14, 2020,  crews are scheduled to pave Bonnywood Place between East Angeleno Avenue and East Orange Grove Avenue from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. This will require closing Bonnywood Place between East Angeleno Avenue and East Orange Grove Avenue, closing East Angeleno Avenue and East Orange Grove Avenue west of 1st Street, and closing the northbound I-5 off-ramp and on-ramp at Olive Avenue. Detours will be provided.

NOTE: These closures are scheduled to be repeated one week later, on Tuesday, January 21, 2020, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., for installation of lane striping and roadway marking.

The schedule is weather-permitting and subject to change due to operational issues.
