City of Burbank to Host Walk of Fame Induction Ceremony

Burbank, CA (October 3, 2025) – The City of Burbank Parks and Recreation Department will host the 17th Annual Walk of Fame Induction Ceremony on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. The event will take place at George Izay Park (1111 W. Olive Avenue, Burbank, CA 91506), behind Field #2, and is free and open to the public.

The ceremony will honor Joe Strattan, David Lee Sr., and Jesse Cisneros, three individuals who have demonstrated outstanding dedication and service to Burbank’s Parks and Recreation programs. The names of each inductee will be memorialized on the Burbank Athletics Walk of Fame with a commemorative plaque, which was established to celebrate leadership, volunteerism, and contributions that strengthen the community.

Since 2004, the City has recognized 86 individuals through the Walk of Fame. The ceremony highlights the enduring impact of those who have enhanced the quality of life for residents through civic engagement and recreation programs.

“The Walk of Fame is a cherished Burbank tradition that recognizes the commitment and contributions of those who make our community stronger,” said Marisa Garcia, Parks and Recreation Director. “We are proud to honor this year’s inductees and their positive influence on the lives of our residents.”

The ceremony will include remarks from elected officials and community leaders, along with the unveiling of the commemorative plaques. Light refreshments will be served before and after the ceremony, providing an opportunity for attendees to meet and congratulate the honorees.
