Extended Nomination Period for the City of Burbank 2024 General Municipal Election
BURBANK, CA. (August 9, 2024) – The Nomination Period has been extended until 5:00 p.m. on August 14, 2024, for the nonpartisan office listed below because an eligible incumbent did not file Nomination Papers by the August 9, 2024, deadline (pursuant to California Elections Code Section 10225). The incumbent who did not file Nomination Papers is as follows:
Member of the City Council - Council Member Nick Schultz
(Full four-year term ending on December 18, 2028)
Any qualified person, other than the incumbent, can now file Nomination Papers until 5:00 p.m. on August 14, 2024, for that seat only.
Candidates for elective offices of the City must be (1) a United States citizen; (2) at least 18 years of age; (3) a resident of the City of Burbank for at least 29 days prior to filing nomination papers; and (4) a registered voter in the City of Burbank at the time of nomination. Qualifying individuals may contact the City Clerk's Office at (818) 238-5851, during normal office hours, Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
