The City of Burbank, Burbank Parks and Recreation Board, and the Burbank Athletic Federation Present the 2021 Walk of Fame Induction Ceremony

BURBANK, CA (October 1, 2021) – The City of Burbank along with the Burbank Parks and Recreation Board and the Burbank Athletic Federation are proud to announce this year’s induction of individuals into the Burbank Athletics Walk of Fame.


The 2021 Burbank Athletics Walk of Fame Inductees are: Craig Hunter and Ron Sabatine.


Craig Hunter began his involvement in the City of Burbank Parks and Recreation sports program during his youth, participating in baseball, basketball, and flag football.
In the early 90’s Craig was excited when his four boys Cameron, Kevin, Kyle, and C.J. began playing sports and participating in the parks programs.


Ron Sabatine began his involvement with the Burbank Parks and Recreation sports programs in the early 2000’s, coaching his two sons, Andrew and Justin’s teams in baseball, flag football, and basketball throughout their childhood. Over those 21 seasons, Ron served as a valuable mentor to the boys on his teams.


The induction ceremony will honor the outstanding commitment and dedication of the honorees and the contributions that they have made to the City of Burbank Sports Programs. These individuals have furthered the excellence of the sports programs in the City of Burbank through their roles as participants, volunteers and/or professional staff.


The ceremony will take place on Saturday, October 2nd at 9:00 a.m. at George Izay Park (Bill Burton Field, adjacent to the Olive Recreation Center), 1111 West Olive Avenue.
