The challenges surrounding homelessness are complex and socially impact a community. In an effort to address our homeless challenges, in December 2017, the City Council approved a comprehensive, action-oriented Homelessness Plan that addresses the ongoing systemic social issues of homelessness impacting our community. Below you'll find more information on the City's homelessness plan:
The process involved:
Public input from community partners, residents, and businesses;
Forming a Homelessness Steering Committee;
Developing an assessment of needs, priorities, and strategies; and
Developing a comprehensive action plan with milestones and implementation strategies.
The City of Burbank held four community meetings with community partners, residents, and businesses in the months of May – August 2017. The outcome of each meeting is posted below.
