Free Sandbags Available

With rain in the forecast, a limited supply of free sandbags is available for Burbank residents at the City of Burbank Public Works Yard, 124 S. Lake St.

  • Valid Burbank ID required

  • Available while supplies last

  • First come, first served

  • Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.

  • Sandbags will also be available on Christmas, while supplies last

Runaway Carts & Storm Drain Safety

Heavy rain increases water flow along streets and gutters.

To help ensure proper drainage and prevent carts from blocking storm drains:

  • Place collection carts 18–24 inches away from curbs and gutters

  • Make sure cart lids are securely closed

  • Bring carts in as soon as possible after collection

If you spot a downed power line:

  • Keep your distance

  • Call 911 immediately
