The voters of California, during a special election in 1979, approved Article XIII-B of the California State Constitution. Informally known as the “Gann Initiative,” Article XIII-B provides limits regarding the total amount of appropriations in any fiscal year from “the proceeds of taxes.”

An investigation is underway after a traffic collision resulted in one fatality. 

Sections of the sidewalk in Downtown Burbank along San Fernando Boulevard and Magnolia Boulevard will undergo approximately three weeks of construction May 13 - 31 (excluding the Memorial Day holiday) for the installation of underground conduits and fiber optic cables.
