Bulky Item collections are sent to the landfill and not recycled (electronics, metal appliances, mattresses and box springs are the exceptions) so please use this option last. Donating or selling items will help extend the life of items and give someone else a chance to enjoy them. Verify that your bulky item can be picked up by checking this list.

Include the following information with your request:
- Your name
- Your address
- Description of item(s)
- Where they will be placed (for example: on the grassy parkway area near your refuse containers or in the alley)
- Your trash collection day
- If you don’t know the trash collection day in your neighborhood call 818-238-3800
On the collection day, place your bulky items a minimum of five (5) feet away from fixed objects. Please note: Doors must be removed from refrigerators.
DO NOT put out your bulky items until the night before collection.
In the event that the solid waste crew is unable to remove your bulky item on your regular trash pickup day due to the weight or size of the item, it will be tagged and collected on the Friday following your refuse collection day.
