In late 2020, the City completed construction for the Leland Way Streetscape Project to mitigate aesthetic impacts related to the Burbank Western Channel Cap and Sound Wall Reconstruction along Leland Way that was part of the Caltrans Interstate-5/HOV Project. Project elements include: 1) a raised planted area along the Channel Cap and new soundwall with landscape design treatments including the planting of vines, shurbs, and trees, 2) reconfiguration of the former two-way street to a one-way street, and 3) installation of a buffered Class-IV bikeway.
