Burbank Police Department News Release: Explosives Threat Investigation

The Burbank Police Department will hold a DUI Checkpoint on Saturday, August 17, 2024, beginning at 7:00 P.M. at an undisclosed location within the city limits.

The Verdugo Aquatic Facility will be closed for annual pool maintenance from August 19-September 1, 2024.

The Burbank City Council has unanimously adopted a resolution to implement the BurbankBus Free Fare Program, extending complimentary rides to all Burbank middle and high school students who can display a valid student identification card.

The Parks and Recreation Department invites adults ages 55 and over to the 55 & Beyond Resource Fair on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., at the Joslyn Adult Center, 1301 West Olive Ave, Burbank, CA 91506.

Please be advised that the City of Burbank has contracted with International Line Builders (ILB) for the Glenoaks Blvd and First St Signal Improvement Project.

On Sunday, August 18, 2024, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, the Parks and Recreation Department, in collaboration with Coach Geoff Russell, United Fencing Academy, and Swordplay LA, invite the community to take part in welcoming Wheelchair Fencing to the City of Burbank.
