VOTE CENTERS AND 24-HOUR VOTE BY MAIL DROPBOXES

24-HOUR VOTE BY MAIL (VBM) DROP BOX PROGRAM OVERVIEW
Approximately 400 24-Hour VBM Drop Boxes will be available throughout Los Angeles County for voters to safely cast their ballots during the 2026 Statewide Direct Primary Election.

STATEWIDE DIRECT PRIMARY ELECTION TIMELINE
  • Mailing of Sample Ballots                  Starting on Thursday, April 23, 2026
  • Mailing of VBM Ballots                       Starting on Monday, May 4, 2026
  • Vote by Mail Period                             Monday, May 4, 2026 through Election Day, Tuesday, June 2, 2026
  • Last Day to Register to Vote               Monday, May 18, 2026
  • 11-Day Vote Centers Open                 Saturday, May 23, 2026
  • All Vote Centers Open                         Saturday, May 30, 2026
  • VBM Drop Boxes Locked                     Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at 8:00 p.m.
VOTE CENTER AND VBM DROP BOX LOCATIONS
  • Voters are provided with a list Drop of Box locations near their residence on their VBM Packet that is sent via U.S. Mail
  • Find all Vote Center and Drop Box locations by using the VBM Drop Box Locator Tool
 BALLOT RETRIEVAL 
  • Ballots will be securely collected on a daily basis at each VBM Drop Box by County staff members throughout the voting period
  INCIDENT RESPONSE PROCEDURES

  • Data requests, media inquiries, cleanup requests, ballot retrieval requests, or contract questions, call (562) 716-5427 or email [email protected]
  • Residents should report incidents of vandalization of, or tampering with, any VBM Drop Box, by contacting the VBM Drop Box Program Manager at (562) 277-2123 or the Burbank City Clerk's Office at (818) 238-5851
