The Project will restore the City Hall fountain to operational condition. Work includes modernization of the fountain infrastructure to include the use of recycled water, new hydraulics, new lighting systems, and the construction of a new pump equipment vault concealed under existing planted areas on the Southwest front of City Hall. The Project will also include restoration of the fountain waterproofing system, repair of damaged tile, plaster, and other decorative historic elements.


The wall and sliding doors dividing the meeting room and banquet space were replaced with a glass folding divider, and improvements were made to two additional event rooms.

This project will restore the waterproofing elements of the elevator tower. New low voltage and electrical infrustructure was installed to modernize the elevator's electrical system.

 

Restoration work is underway to preserve this historic jet, honoring its legacy and enhancing its display for future generations.

Year 2 of the five-year residential pavement program was completed, focusing on grind and overlay of streets in poor condition in Sections 5, 6, 7, and 8, including alleys. 

Citywide Sidewalk Improvement Program to remove and reconstruct damaged or substandard curbs, gutters, sidewalks, driveways, and pedestrian ramps. This project focused on areas bounded by Victory Blvd., Buena Vista St., and Amherst Dr.

Reconstruction of 14 traffic signals, street improvements and traffic signal modifications along Glenoaks Blvd. to improve safety, enhance operations, and reduce maintenance costs on this major arterial roadway. Improvements include upgrading traffic signal infrastructure with new signal poles and controllers and improving mobility for all users with updated ADA ramps, flashing yellow left turns, Audible Pedestrian Signals (APS) and Lead Pedestrian Intervals (LPI) at select locations.

The facility was renovated to improve functionality, meet current codes, and Title 24 regulations. Work included structural upgrades, new utilities, energy-efficient systems, interior finishes, and exterior improvements such as facade updates, signage, and drainage upgrades.

Repairs were made to extend the pool’s operation by approximately five years, including surface crack repairs, pool painting, lane reduction, and selective mechanical and electrical replacements.

Funds were used to develop a public mural for the McCambridge Recreation Center gymnasium.

New picnic benches and shade structure(s) were added to the outdoor picnic area by the tennis courts.

This project constructed landscaping and aesthetic treatments for the Empire Interchange to discourage graffiti and improve aesthetics. Local funds identified in this project are reimbursed by Metro.


A cantilever shade structure was installed over the bleachers at Valley Park Ballfield for program participants, employees, and the community.
