Pete Graziano
Pete graduated from the Art Center College of Design with a Bachelor of Arts degree with honors in the field of Illustration. He started his career creating posters, magazine illustrations, brochures, and corporate identity programs. Pete also worked as a courtroom sketch artist for KNBC, KABC, and KTTV News. He partnered with Jim Adan to form the design firm Adan & Graziano to print and design many corporate brochures and advertising layouts.
In 1980 Pete accepted an offer by KTTV News to develop and head one of the first computer graphics art departments. In the 11 years at KTTV his department helped them win an Emmy and a Peabody award.
Pete left KTTV in 1992 to pursue other ventures in the print and broadcast industry. He also worked as an effects and background artist in the motion picture industry working on movie titles and computer-generated effects and imagery.
In 1993 Pete was hired to help develop the television magazine show “Extra” and then went on to work on numerous design projects for “Extra”, “ABC Video Design Group” “The WB Kids Network” and graphic artist for the TV production “Bones”.
In 2005 he was one of twenty-four artists asked to exhibit their work in a show presented at Forest Lawn Museum entitled” Revolutions” Artists Who Rocked the World of Music Industry Graphics. Other exhibits exhibit Pete was a part of at the Glendale Museum were “Menagerie: The Art of Animal” and “Leading Ladies”, From Fantasy to Reality.
He is a lifetime member of the Art Directors Union and has been a part of many exhibits at Gallery 800, the Art Directors Union gallery, of which he has helped run and develop.
Recently Pete has returned to his traditional roots as a fine artist, working primarily in acrylic and oil on canvas. He has displayed his art of paintings and figure drawings in multiple exhibitions and art shows and feels very fortunate to have made a living at something he loves.
