Boys & Girls Club 2244 N. Buena Vista Building Improvements The 1949 building requires modernization including seismic strengthening, upgrading building utilities, ADA compliance, Fire Life Safety, and tenant improvements to accommodate current programming. Simone McFarland
Brace Canyon Park Ballfield Replacement of living turf grass with artificial or natural turf. There is also a proposed rubberized running track around the perimeter of the ballfields. Diego Cevallos
Burbank Channel Bikeway Public Art The project will design, construct and install up to seven public art pieces along the Burbank Channel Bikeway. Megan Wilke
Chandler Bikeway Extension Project will extend the Chandler Bikeway from its current eastern terminus at Chandler Boulevard and Mariposa Street to the future San Fernando Bikeway along the Western Burbank Channel.  The completion of this project will help to close the gap between two regionally significant Class I bikeways and will provide pedestrian and bicycle connectivity to the City's Downtown Metrolink station. City Building Seismic Retrofit and Gross Park Facility Improvements This project will fund the construction and mandatory seismic retrofit the following building: Robert Gross Park Exercise Building. It will also modernize the Robert Gross Park Exercise Building's infrastructure, and includes ADA and fire sprinklers/monitoring code required modernization. David Null
City Yard Services Building (CYSB) This project replaces the 1962 Parks Storage Facility with a new 11,000+ square foot building featuring locker rooms, restrooms, a multi-purpose room, storage, and workstations. It also includes site and utility upgrades, stormwater management, fiber and security systems, access improvements, and partial perimeter fencing. Damian Skinner
Community Services Building (CSB) Office Spaces This project will split one office into two offices on the second floor of the CSB. Staff will procure a consultant to design the layout, build a drywall splitting the offices, add fire sprinklers, ceiling lights, and an additional wood door to the entrance. Kenny Armenta
Dick Clark Dog Park Preserve and expand open space at Johnny Carson Park to develop an off-leash dog park to promote exercise and wellness for dogs and their owners. Mike Del Campo
Downtown San Fernando Blvd Reconfiguration (Phase 2) The scope of Phase 2 is dependent upon the response and data collection of Phase 1 which can result into two general options: 1) reverting back to the original condition or 2) constructing more long-term improvements with permanent sidewalk and curb extensions, modifications to traffic signal equipment, and additional traffic calming measures.  Edward Yu
Exhaust System Modernization This project replaces ventilation systems at PD/Fire HQ, the PW Yard, and all Fire Stations to remove diesel fumes, carbon monoxide, and other airborne hazards. Work includes new ductwork, magnetic connectors, rails, and automatic controls. TBD

Fire Station 12 & 16 Fuel System Replacement

Replace existing underground 1,000 gallon unleaded gasoline and diesel tanks at Fire Stations 12 and 16.  TBD
First Street Class IV Bike Lane Design and construct approximately 0.8-mile protected Class IV bikeway on North First Street from North San Fernando Boulevard to East Verdugo Avenue.  The project will also incorporate pavement improvements along the alignment where the pavement is in poor condition. Foy Park & Park Area Light & Lighting Infrastructure Modernization Validate current photometric requirements for the Parking Area and interconnected, adjacent Park Lighting. Design new lighting and replace required infrastructure. Jose Rodriguez
Fuel Systems Modernization This project will replace terminals and install low voltage infrastructure to support new software and hardware at all City Fire Stations (Stations 11-16) and on the mobile pump unit that powers equipment at the Landfill. It will also replace tank monitoring equipment for more accurate reporting. TBD
FY 2024-25 Annual Arterial Pavement Rehabilitation  The Arterial Pavement Program will  improve major and secondary arterials, collector roadways, and alleys rated in poor condition, with the goal of achieving a citywide PCI of 73 by FY 2030-31.  TBD
FY 24/25 Annual Residential Pave Rehab (Phase IV of Cycle 2) FY 2024-25 will perform grind and overlay on streets in poor and below condition primarily in sections 3, 4, 13 and 14. TBD
FY 24/25 Annual Sidewalk Rehabilitation The project will remove and reconstruct damaged curbs, gutters, sidewalks, driveways, and pedestrian ramps in Zones 1, 2, 19, 20. TBD
FY2023/24 Annual Residential Pavement Rehabilitation Year 3 of the residential pavement program focuses on grinding and overlaying poor-condition streets in Sections 15–18, including alleys, to help reach a citywide PCI of 73 by FY 2030-31. Artin Megerdichian
FY2023/24 Annual Sidewalk Rehabilitation Remove and reconstruct damaged curbs, gutters, sidewalks, driveways, and pedestrian ramps in Zones 13 and 14. Artin Megerdichian

Irrigation - Maxam Memorial Park Irrigation Replacement Upgrade the irrigation system at Larry L. Maxam Memorial Park.  Mike Del Campo
Jail Door Control System Modernization This project will replace and modernize the 24-year-old jail locking system with new electronics, software, hardware, and fixtures for a fully integrated and updated security system. TBD
Johnny Carson Park Shade Structure Installation of a shade structure over the Johnny Carson Park stage. Parks and Recreation will coordinate structure locations with Public Works and will be plan checked and permitted by CDD/Building division. Megan Wilke
Main Street/Elm Avenue Intersection Improvement Construct a pedestrian/equestrian crossing with warnings and signal lights consisting of rectangular rapid flashing beacons (RRFB) at the intersection. Other improvements will include ADA ramps and street lighting at the crossing. Edward Yu
McCambridge Park Stormwater Capture Multi-Benefit Project Includes improvements:  an underground stormwater capture system (infiltration gallery), bioswales in two parking lots, planting of native trees, improved ADA paths, picnic tables with shade structures, fitness stations and a 9-hole disc golf course, led pedestrian and/or ballfield lighting throughout park, and solar power at the recreation center and basketball court. McCambridge Pool Replacement  Multi-phased renovation of the McCambridge Pool facility. Upgrades include a new lap swim pool, activity pool, waterslides, play features, pool deck, equipment room, and locker room renovations, and staff offices. Diego Cevallos
New Burbank Central Library - Civic Center Design and construction of a new 65,000 SF Library + ~20,000 SF of office space for ASB staff. ASB will be replaced with functional open space and the Wells Fargo building will also be demolished. Ken Berkman
New EOC at City Hall Renovate the northwest portion of City Hall's basement to construct a new City Emergency Operations Center (EOC). Edward Yu
Olive and Magnolia Safety Bridge Railing Replacements These bridges, built in the 1950s, have outdated 39" barrier railings that do not meet current pedestrian safety standards. Olive Bridge sees the most foot traffic due to its link to the Metrolink station, while Magnolia Bridge is expected to see increased use once nearby development projects are completed. Olive Avenue Bridge Replacement A feasibility study was completed in 2016 to potentially widen the Olive (and Magnolia) bridge. This project will update that study to determine the best rehabilitation strategy for the Olive Bridge as well as consider the new needs based upon Metro's upcoming implementation of the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) line on Olive Avenue. Olive Recreation Center Re-Design The first phase is for the completion of draft schematic designs for the re-design of the Olive Recreation Centers. Phase 2 will include an aerial topographic and field survey, phasing feasibility studies, and a 3D rendering of the redesign. Project include offices, recreation classrooms, storage rooms, gymnasium, restrooms, a kitchen, and a stage. Diego Cevallos
Palm Avenue Paseo Upgrades Quick-build improvements to the highly trafficked outdoor AMC Walkway/Palm Paseo (Paseos adjacent to 107-180 E Palm Avenue) with landscaping, art, furniture, and various landscape elements intended to beautify the space, and add amenities for residents, visitors, and employees.  Mary Hamzoian
PD Forensics Services Area Modernization Renovate two existing areas:  Forensic Services Laboratory & Administration areas and the Forensic Services Evidence Garage located on the facility's lower level.  Anna Hartounian
PD HQ Fire 11 Parking Area Waterproofing and Restoration This project will design and restore waterproofing systems for the facility, including underground areas, planters, and parking. Work includes crack repair, drainage and waterproofing replacement, and phased installation of expansion systems and flashings over several years. TBD
Roof 1 - (Annual) Roof Restoration - Multiple Roofs Roof repair and restoration for: Olive Recreation Center, Joslyn Adult Center, Creative Art Center, Pottery Building , WWTP offices, and Animal Shelter.   TBD
Roof 2- Recycle Center Warehouse Improvements - Roof Replacement  Roof replacement and improvements to be Recycle Center Warehouse. TBD
Roof 3 - PD HQ Fire 11 -Roof and Structure Waterproofing This project will design, repair, and restore all water intrusion related deficiencies related to the roof, drain, and building envelope. The building envelope includes all vertical surfaces: windows, doors, architectural features/projections on the exterior of the building.  TBD
San Fernando Bikeway Class I bike path that will be constructed along San Fernando Boulevard, Victory Place, and the Burbank Western Channel between Cohassett Street and the Downtown Metrolink station.  This project completes the final three miles in a 12-mile regional bike path.  Most of this project's costs are funded by a Metro Call for Projects grant.    This project is a top priority project on the Bicycle Master Plan. Starlight Bowl Amphitheatre Transformation The Starlight Bowl Amphitheatre Transformation Project consists of a complete renovation of the amphitheater with additional amenities to the site and adjacent facilities. Kris Smith
Traffic Signal at Buena Vista St. & Jeffreies Ave This project will construct a new traffic signal at the intersection of Buena Vista Street and Jeffries Avenue warranted by a Traffic Signal study that was completed by Public Works.  Improvements will include new traffic signal with video cameras, LED street lighting, vehicle detection, and high visibility crosswalks at the intersection.   Vikki Davtian
Vehicle Lift Equipment Modernization Complete modernization of fourteen (14) vehicle lifts to accommodate current Fleet requirements including all City light and heavy duty vehicles. Project includes design, engineering for lift modernization. The scope of the project will also include  hazardous materials mitigation, which includes soils  testing. Jose Rodriguez
Victory Blvd and Buena Vista St Signal Synchronization This project will collect data and analyze the synchronization of 24 traffic signals along Victory Blvd (Buena Vista to Alameda) and Buena Vista St (I-5 to Glenoaks). It includes upgrading signal controllers, cameras, wiring, and electrical service at three intersections, along with updated signal timing and equipment procurement. David Wilcox
