CAO Reconfiguration Seven office areas were reorganized, storage spaces repurposed, and the lobby modernized to enhance safety and security. A door was also added between the City Attorney's storage vault and the copy room for direct access. Mar-25

McCambridge Park Playground Replacement A wide range of inclusive and adaptive play equipment was installed. Feb-25
Community Garden A 0.32-acre parcel (at Chandler/Pass and Hollywood/Clark) was developed into a community garden by community volunteers and through donations. Feb-25
Rogers Place Landscaping Project Landscaping and aesthetic treatments were constructed for the Empire Interchange to discourage graffiti and improve aesthetics. Local funds used for this project were reimbursed by Metro (Project Task 2). Jan-25
Glenoaks Blvd. Arterial and First St. Thirteen signals along Glenoaks Boulevard and one signal on First Street were reconstructed. This project was 100% funded by Metro Measure R Highway funds. Jan-25
Maple Street Park Playground Replacement A wide range of inclusive and adaptive play equipment was installed. Nov-24
FY2022/23 Annual Sidewalk Rehabilitation Damaged curbs, gutters, sidewalks, driveways, and pedestrian ramps were removed and reconstructed in Zones 15, 16, 17, and 18, on the hillside west of Amherst. Oct-24
Picnic Facility Improvements at McCambridge Park New picnic benches and shade structure(s) were added to the outdoor picnic area by the tennis courts. Aug-24
Valley Park Ballfield Shade Structures A cantilever shade structure was installed over the bleachers at Valley Park Ballfield for program participants, employees, and the community.  Aug-24
FY2022/23 Annual Residential Pavement Rehabilitation  Year 2 of the five-year residential pavement program was completed, focusing on grind and overlay of streets in poor condition in Sections 5, 6, 7, and 8, including alleys.  Jul-24
Police/Fire Evidence Storage Unused storage space at the Police/Fire Headquarters was converted into secure, lightweight storage for Police evidence, freeing up space for Public Works at the City Yard. Jul-24
DeBell Golf Course – Club House Improvements The wall and sliding doors dividing the meeting room and banquet space were replaced with a glass folding divider, and improvements were made to two additional event rooms. Jun-24
Larry Maxam Memorial Park Restroom/Building Renovation The facility was renovated to improve functionality, meet current codes, and Title 24 regulations. Work included structural upgrades, new utilities, energy-efficient systems, interior finishes, and exterior improvements such as facade updates, signage, and drainage upgrades. Jun-24
McCambridge Park Pool Repair Repairs were made to extend the pool’s operation by approximately five years, including surface crack repairs, pool painting, lane reduction, and selective mechanical and electrical replacements. May-24
