CSB Security Enhancements

This project improved building safety and access by installing a stairway barrier, securing elevator use, adding full-height doors to staff areas, and screening the second-floor railing.

Mary Alvord Recreation Center Basketball Side Backboards Replacement Replaced four basketball side backboards at the Verdugo Recreation Center with four height adjustable backboards. Restricted BAF funds will be allocated to fully cover the costs of this project. Feb-26

Santa Anita Playlot Playground Replacement 

Installation of new play equipment at the Santa Anita Playlot Playground to meet the needs of the community.

City Hall Fountain Restoration and Modernization 

The Project restored the City Hall fountain to operational condition. Work included modernization of the fountain infrastructure to include the use of recycled water, new hydraulics, new lighting systems, and the construction of a new pump equipment vault concealed under existing planted areas on the Southwest front of City Hall. The Project also restored the fountain waterproofing system, repaired damaged tile, plaster, and other decorative historic elements.

FY 2024-25 Annual Facilities Small Capital Improvement

The Facility Capital Program addressed planned and unplanned replacements, modernization, and new building components, including interior systems, electrical panels, HVAC, roofs, plumbing, elevators, and waterproofing systems.

FY2022/23 Annual Arterial Pavement Rehabilitation 

The Arterial Pavement Program will  improve major and secondary arterials, collector roadways, and alleys rated in poor condition, with the goal of achieving a citywide PCI of 73 by FY 2030-31.

Downtown Burbank Metrolink Station Waterproofing and Elevator Modernization

This project will restore the waterproofing system and modernize the elevator's systems, equipment, fixtures, and cab interior finishes; code-compliant upgrades for fire/life/safety, elevator machine room cooling.

F-104D Starfighter Aircraft

Rehabilitate the F-104D Starfighter Aircraft at George Izay Park. Design in 23/24, construction in 24/25.

CAO Reconfiguration Seven office areas were reorganized, storage spaces repurposed, and the lobby modernized to enhance safety and security. A door was also added between the City Attorney's storage vault and the copy room for direct access. Mar-25

A 0.32-acre parcel (at Chandler/Pass and Hollywood/Clark) was developed into a community garden by community volunteers and through donations.

Rogers Place Landscaping Project

Landscaping and aesthetic treatments were constructed for the Empire Interchange to discourage graffiti and improve aesthetics. Local funds used for this project were reimbursed by Metro (Project Task 2).

Glenoaks Blvd. Arterial 

Thirteen signals along Glenoaks Boulevard and one signal on First Street were reconstructed. This project was 100% funded by Metro Measure R Highway funds.

FY2022/23 Annual Sidewalk Rehabilitation

Damaged curbs, gutters, sidewalks, driveways, and pedestrian ramps were removed and reconstructed in Zones 15, 16, 17, and 18, on the hillside west of Amherst.

Picnic Facility Improvements at McCambridge Park

New picnic benches and shade structure(s) were added to the outdoor picnic area by the tennis courts.

Valley Park Ballfield Shade Structures

A cantilever shade structure was installed over the bleachers at Valley Park Ballfield for program participants, employees, and the community.

FY2022/23 Annual Residential Pavement Rehabilitation 

Year 2 of the five-year residential pavement program was completed, focusing on grind and overlay of streets in poor condition in Sections 5, 6, 7, and 8, including alleys.

Police/Fire Evidence Storage

Unused storage space at the Police/Fire Headquarters was converted into secure, lightweight storage for Police evidence, freeing up space for Public Works at the City Yard.

DeBell Golf Course – Club House Improvements

The wall and sliding doors dividing the meeting room and banquet space were replaced with a glass folding divider, and improvements were made to two additional event rooms.

Larry Maxam Memorial Park Restroom/Building Renovation

The facility was renovated to improve functionality, meet current codes, and Title 24 regulations. Work included structural upgrades, new utilities, energy-efficient systems, interior finishes, and exterior improvements such as facade updates, signage, and drainage upgrades.

McCambridge Park Pool Repair

Repairs were made to extend the pool’s operation by approximately five years, including surface crack repairs, pool painting, lane reduction, and selective mechanical and electrical replacements.
