Pool Rentals & Lane Allocation Guidelines
The City of Burbank Parks and Recreation Department manages aquatic facility use to support safe operations, equitable access, and balanced programming for the community.
Pool space is shared between public recreation, City programs, schools, and permitted organizations. Use of aquatic facilities is governed by the Pool Allocation Guidelines for Permit Groups.
The guidelines outline policies related to:
Priority use of aquatic facilities
Lane allocation considerations
Permit application procedures
Residency and nonprofit classification
Organized aquatic activity requirements
Permit holder responsibilities
Payment, cancellations, and facility use policies
Permit applications are reviewed based on facility availability and City programming priorities.
Users requesting lane space, organized aquatic activities, or facility rentals should review the full guidelines prior to submitting a request.
Click here to view the Pool Allocation Guidelines for Permit Groups
Rental Requirements
Pool space may be available for rent when facility availability and staffing allow.
All organized aquatic activities must occur during approved rental or permit times.
Requestors must submit the following before a permit will be issued:
Rental Application
Certificate of Insurance (COI)
Additional Ensured Endorsement
Rentals with participants under 18 years of age must include Sexual Assault and Molestation (SAM) in COI
Fees and staffing requirements vary depending on the type of event, number of lanes requested, and duration of use.
Contact Aquatics
